Boston, Massachusetts. (October 26, 2015) – On last week’s SexTalk Tuesday, the weekly Twitter chat hosted by top women’s porn website Sssh.com, adult model and Oregon State ‘Library Girl’ Kendra Sunderland moderated the sensitive topic The Shame on Society for Engaging in Slut Shaming.

#SexTalkTuesday is the biggest adult Twitter chat on the web. The chat averages of more than 8 million hashtag impressions during the hour, with an upward of 22 million impressions. #SexTalkTuesday has become an important forum for discussing issues surrounding sex. It has become the number one platform for adult entertainers, sex educators, and adult film makers to be able to discuss difficult topics that are important to them in an open forum. “We are not afraid to broach the hard hitting topics that are difficult to discuss,” said Sssh.com founder Angie Rowntree.
Open and honest dialogue is at the core of #SexTalkTuesday, whether it be about threesomes, victim blaming in rape culture, or the devastating affects of slut shaming. #SexTalkTuesday is also one of the only platforms for adult entertainers, film makers and sex educators to be able to have an open dialogue with both their fans and their peers.
Kendra Sunderland was an amazing guest moderator who did not shy away from a difficult topic, and one that is very personal to her.  She presented five questions to a progressive group of Twitter followers, eliciting opinions about the effects of judgment and shame upon women and men who enjoy sex and their sexuality, and how society can shift more positively overall.
“We are threatened by what we judge,” says one commenter in response to Sunderland’s question of why people are so quick to criticize others. “People need to open their hearts and minds and educate themselves.”
“We wanted to get people talking about women’s sexuality in a way that is empowering, and Sex Talk Tuesday is a great forum that gets right to the heart of the issues,” said Angie Rowntree, founder of Sssh.com. “Kendra is a great moderator and she speaks her mind, and we appreciated her input on these insightful questions and views during the chat.”
Sunderland, who shot to fame after her arrest following a very public NSFW webcam show in OSU’s campus library, has herself been the subject of shaming after the 2014 incident created friction in her private and now-public life.
“I’ve always felt in control of my body and I never cared what anyone said about me,” said Sunderland. After her camming career became public knowledge on the heels of her public indecency arrest, she made the wise decision to hold her head up and continue on her chosen career path, becoming a May 2015 Penthouse Pet and performing on her personal website PlayWithKendra.com.
Expect to see more inspiring moderators on #SexTalkTuesday, every week at 3pm EST. “Our Twitter chats bring intelligent discourse and interesting personal anecdotes, and we look forward to seeing more opinions come to life in these discussions.”
