TAMPA, FL (October 15, 2015) — Industry publicist Lainie Speiser receives the Adella Award at the 23rd Annual NightMoves® Awards this past weekend. The award, which recognizes excellence in PR and Marketing in the adult entertainment industry, was presented to Speiser by Kendra Sunderland and Jenna Ivory on behalf of the NightMoves® staff.

“Thank you so much for this great honor,” says Speiser. “I started my career in the adult industry six months out of college, and have loved it ever since. I want to thank all of my clients past and present who made this award possible, and all of my contacts, who continue to support my endeavors.”

Lainie Speiser began her career in adult entertainment shortly after getting her BA in journalism from The School of Visual Arts in New York City in 1991. After working in the promotion departments of leading men’s magazines such as Gallery, Fox, and Lollypops, she was hired as the publicist for Penthouse Magazine in 2001 and worked there through 2011, also doing personal publicity for Bob Guccione in his last two years of owning the publication.

Since starting her independent PR firm in 2012, Lainie has continued a great relationship with Penthouse, writing a monthly column and acting as a consultant, and has become the “go-to” publicist for performers who want to brand their name in the mainstream press, through her relationships with prominent media outlets across the country.

“Lainie’s work as an adult industry publicist extends far beyond just booking performers for appearances and interviews,” says Publisher and Founder of NightMoves® Paul Allen. “She is an industry ‘house mom’ who loves, cares, and advises her clients at every step of their journey as an entertainer. Her hand-held attention to her clients’ needs are unparalleled, and it’s an honor to present her with the Adella Award.”

Speiser has also maintained a writing career, freelance writing for various publications; she has published six books, including Confessions of the Hundred Hottest Porn Stars.

Continues Lainie, “I especially want to thank Kelly [Shibari], who helped guide me through my transition four years ago, from working in corporate all of my professional life, to becoming an independent success. She is a huge part of how I run my business today, and I thank her for her patience, great work, and loyalty. I was in this industry before the Internet and dammit, I’m still here! Thank you, and God bless you all!”

NightMoves® Awards, started in 1993, is the third oldest and continuously running adult awards show in the United States, trailing only the AVN Awards and the XRCO Awards. The NightMoves® Awards were the first to allow fans to select the winners, making it the original Fan Based Awards, as well as the first awards show to allow online voting. In addition to the Fan Awards, the show presents Editor’s Choice awards based on reviews of DVDs in which the nominated performer has appeared.

The NightMoves® Awards are more than a one-night awards show; it is a fun-filled, exciting, ultra-busy weekend that includes “Star Caravan” events at local nightclubs and multiple radio appearances. In addition, fans will be able to meet and interact with performers at the NightMoves® Fan Fest, where stars sign autographs and take photos.
