LOS ANGELES (April 7, 2015) – Sex educator, adult star, and Wicked Pictures contract performer jessica drake will be a guest speaker on a panel at San José State University. The panel, titled “Porn: The Fantasy & the Reality,” is scheduled for Thursday, April 9.
The event will run from 6 to 8 p.m. in the University’s Science Building, Room 142. It is hosted by the SJSU Student Health Center – Wellness & Health Promotion. It is open to the public and free to students, faculty and staff. Admission is $5 for all others.
“The Peer Health Education Program at San José State University is thrilled jessica drake will be joining us as part of this interactive panel,” stated Zoë B. Whaley, MSW, Wellness and Health Promotion Coordinator for Sexual Wellness and Violence Prevention, and Jacob Peinado, SJSU Peer Health Education Lead for Sexual Wellness. “We are certain her knowledge, expertise, and savvy will enrich the discussion and encourage positive and constructive conversations on sex, sexuality, and healthy relationships.”
The panel will give an overview of the adult industry while encouraging positive and constructive discussions on consent, safe sex, porn usage, and healthy sexual relationships.
“I really love academic panels where we can bring together younger people and have a healthy discussion about the adult industry, dispelling some of the myths and misinformation”, drake said. “It’s also important to help students understand porn is really about fantasy and fictional relationships – it takes work and effort to form a healthy sexual relationship.”
