I have pretty much stayed away from the political arena here and on social media. I have followed what has been going on in both camps since this crazy merry go round began. All I can say at this point is that in every single way, disappointing would be a total and complete understatement regarding this election

However, before I get into my post here, I want to urge all of you that live in California, whether you are in the adult industry or not to vote NO on Prop 60. Thank you.

I have voted since 1956 and this has been, without question, the most disgusting, hate filled, embarrassing, down in the gutter, filled with lies and corruption and an outright disregard for the American people that I have ever witnessed in an election campaign. Not only the candidates, but other politicians in both parties, not to mention the news media have also sunk to a new low during this election process as well. Granted the two candidates running for the POTUS are far from the best, and maybe of the two worst to ever run for the office. It becomes more and more obvious that one has bought off politicians, big business, the media and anyone else that could help get them to win the election and take over the country. On the other hand you have a billionaire who has never been a politician and speaks in a very brash, off the cuff, annoying and despicable way. However, most will admit that he just says, in many instances, what many of us are thinking but are afraid to say. He has ignited a light in millions of Americans that has been dark for too long because he is NOT a politician.

Both of the candidates have their believers and followers who think their person is the only one who can do the best job as POTUS and bring this country back to being the greatest in the world. That remains to be seen simply because whichever candidate becomes president, they will still have a Senate and Congress to deal with. It is a Senate and Congress whose only mantra is “what’s in it for me” to deal with. As we have seen in the past, it is the Senate and Congress who make up their own rules as for “what’s best” for the American people and themselves. Therein lays the big problem, this bunch of self serving, over the hill, ego driven, money driven group of politicians who have been, because of no term limits, around way too long and have never looked at the calendar to see we are in the 21st century.

I have already cast my vote and I hope everyone, especially in this election, will vote as well. The outcome of this election could very well determine what kind of country this will become in a future that begins now. Will this be the greatest country in the world, as it once was, or will it become a country that will get sold out by those whose interests are only their own and those who pander to them, and not yours?

At my age I don’t know how many more elections I have left to vote in, but I worry about the generations of my own children, my grandchildren and great grand child. What kind of country will they be living in? Will it be the one that I was proud to serve in the military for, or the one that has me ashamed of what we have become over the years?

I urge you to not make your decisions based on the disgusting, dirty, and yes even phony ads, on TV. If you are among those who have not voted yet, please do some real research, some real reading and before you make your decision. Do not let a bought and paid for media make it for you. This election is the most important one this country has faced since WW II and every American’s future, and future generations is at stake as to what kind of country we will become.
