(Hollywood, CA) If starring in one of the most acclaimed porn movies of all time was not enough of a WTF moment, comic Thomas Ward has been selected as the opening act on the Las Vegas bill of comedian Eddie Griffin now playing at the Rio Hotel & Casino. If Ward’s name sounds familiar it’s because the Detroit born actor/director and funny man is America’s number one impersonator of Bill Cosby and fans of adult entertainment will remember his spot-on portrayal of Cliff Huxtable in Not the Cosbys XXX.
“I have a lot of fun imitating Bill Cosby but nothing was as crazy as playing Cliff Huxtable in Not the Cosbys XXX and now I get to open for Eddie Griffin in Vegas. I love my life because this shit is fun and Eddie is wildly funny and we’re having a blast at the Rio,” Ward said as he prepped for his first show with Eddie best known for his own rousing standup routines and acting roles in TV’s Malcolm & Eddie and the Deuce Bigalow and Undercover Brother movies.
The show starts each night 7PM with Thomas Ward hitting the stage in the King’s Room at the Rio revving up the audience for Griffin. The spectators are pre-warned to expect a show that is “not for the faint of heart”. Tickets start at $71.50 and can be purchased at Ticket Master or from the Rio website and run from Sunday to Thursday. The show is dark Friday and Saturdays and nobody under the age of 18 is allowed anywhere near not even in the same zip code.
In addition to performing standup on this fabulous two month Vegs run, Ward has been traveling the country making audiences explode with laughter. In a welcome move, the comedian was recently lured back to porn valley by director Will Ryder to reprise his role as Dr. Cliff Huxtable and Bill Cosby in the soon-to-be released Not the Cosbys XXX: Puddin’ My Dick Where it Don’t Belong. The movie will tackle the dozens of accusations thrown towards Bill Cosby by an assortment of women all while maintaining his fatherly role as American’s favorite dad. The movie will be available on VOD but will first be released on DVD by X-Play March 3rd via Pulse Distribution.
