XRCO

In just over a month, the heart of Hollywood will be playing host to the “who’s who” of adult. Thursday June 22 the 32nd Annual XRCO Awards Show will be taking place. Making it an even bigger and more special event is that it will be back at the old location, the fabulous OHM Nightclub at Hollywood and Highlands right in the heart of Hollywood across from the famed El Capitan Theater.

It promises to be a very exciting night not only for all of the stars and industry people on hand, but being “back home” so to speak. In addition XRCO has also added two new voting categories this year “Best Lesbian Performer” and “Best Family Themed Movie”. With the consistent growth in both these categories it was time for XRCO to add them to the list of awards. In addition the Hall of Fame inductees this year is a very deserving group of people that include Mason, Joanna Angel, Hillary Scott, golden age performer Constance Money and many more from all areas of adult entertainment.

As a voting member of XRCO I can honestly say that this year was one of the toughest in making the final votes on my ballot. The number of performances and stellar productions over the past year far exceeded what I, as a critic, had hoped for. So picking the eventual nominees in all of the various categories was a long, arduous job and in the end regardless of who I voted for, all of the nominees are big winners to this XRCO member.

I have always enjoyed coming out to Hollywood for the XRCO from our home  base in Tampa Bay, Florida. It is always great to see old friends, make new ones and line up some stars for our NightMoves awards show in Tampa in October. I had planned on coming out this year, but those plans have changed. Considering all that has gone on and taken place regarding air travel in the past year or so, and currently, I have made the hard decision that I will not fly again. At my age I am enjoying life and having my feet on the ground as well as being above ground and intend to stay that way. So instead, I will be with everyone at the XRCO show in spirit.

To everyone who has been nominated in the various categories, good luck from myself, Paul and Tracy Allen and the rest of us at NightMoves and AAN. In what was a very tough year for the industry, you all rose above it to give us critics, and the fans, some absolutely fantastic productions and performance. I am very proud to be a part of XRCO and I thank you for all your hard work. Best wishes to take home many awards on June 22nd.
