LOS ANGELES (March 15, 2017) – Adam & Eve’s acclaimed “Babysitting the Baumgartners” earned nominations for Kay Brandt for Best Director – Feature and for the film for Best Release at the 2017 XRCO Awards. The event will be presented by the X-Rated Critics Association on Thursday, April 27 at OHM nightclub, at Hollywood/Highland Complex, 6801 Hollywood Blvd #433, Los Angeles, CA 90028.
Written originally as a novel by New York Times bestselling author Selena Kitt from her “Baumgartner” series of erotic novels, “Babysitting the Baumgartners,” features adult superstars and real-life married couple Anikka Albrite and Mick Blue as Doc and Carrie Baumgartner who find lust-filled adventures with their sexy babysitter, played by Sara Luvv, who also earned a Best Actress nomination for the role.
The nominations come as Adam & Eve prepares to release the second movie in the Baumgartner series, “Adventures with the Baumgartners,” directed by Brandt and starring Albrite and Blue, reprising their roles as the sexy couple. It is set for a May release.
“It’s an incredible feeling to know that ‘Babysitting the Baumgartners’ has received so much industry support and it’s quite an honor to be recognized and nominated by XRCO,” said Brandt who earned Best Director – Feature for the movie at the 2016 NightMoves Awards. “Adam & Eve has given me and this landmark project its complete dedication and support, and for that I’m truly grateful. We’re all very proud of Babysitting the Baumgartners, and look forward to releasing the sequel.
“Babysitting the Baumgartners,” released last summer, is part of the bestselling Baumgartner series by Kitt originally launched in 2008. It includes “Meet the Baumgartners,” “A Baumgartner Christmas,” “The Baumgartners Plus One,” “A Baumgartner Reunion,” and others about the erotic adventures of the sexy suburban couple.
The nominations are the newest honors for the film which earned Best Polyamory Feature at the 2017 AVN Awards, along with honors for Best Sex Scene – Feature and Best Marketing Campaign at the 2017 XBIZ Awards. The movie also earned First Choice honors at the 2016 NightMoves Awards.
“Babysitting the Baumgartners” earned critical acclaim by movie reviewers such as Adult DVD Talk’s Bono-ONE who wrote: “Kay Brandt crafted a wonderful story and then watched as her amazing team and this stellar cast made it come to life. So much to love about this movie and if you’re a fan of Anikka Albrite, Sara Luvv and Mick Blue then this will find a treasured place in your collection.”
Feminist Porn Reviews also hailed the movie’s performances and production values: “The sex scenes are all excellent, and many of them are extraordinary. They are natural, and playful, and there is great communication between the characters, as well as intense emotion.”
The May release of the second chapter of the Baumgartner’s saga, “Adventures with the Baumgartners,” will include a simultaneous publication of the book of the same name. It marks the first time an adult film and accompanying book are released at the same time.
