This week we take a look back at 1992. Wow, twenty five years already, how time sure does fly! So many things have happened in that period of time, just how much do you recall from 1992?
As we always do let’s begin our look back with what the cost of living was back then. The average income in the U.S. was $31,700. The average price of a new 3 bedroom home was $122,500. The average cost of new cars was at $16,000 and a gallon of gas was $1.10. Bacon was $1.09 a pound, most candy bars were 45 cents, eggs 89 cents a dozen. The cost of a Super Bowl ad was only $850,000. In some of the 1992 news headlines in the U.S. and the world…… Bill Clinton becomes the President defeating George H.W. Bush. McDonalds opens it first unit in Beijing, China. New York mob boss John Gotti sentenced to life in prison. Rioting breaks out in Los Angeles following the acquittal of four white police officers accused of beating black motorist Rodney King. The largest shopping mall in the US, Minnesota’s Mall of America is constructed spanning 78 acres. Prince Charles and Princess Diana separate and later divorce. AT & T release the new video telephone for $1,499.The first Nicotene patch is introduced to help stop smoking. Georgia Superdome in Atlanta, Georgia is completed with the worlds largest cable supported fabric roof .The space shuttle Endeavour has a successful maiden voyage.
In entertainment among the big hit movies were A Few Good Men, The Bodyguard, Sister Act, Basic instinct and Batman Returns. In the world of pop music the hit makers include Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Nirvana, Mariah Carey, Pearl Jam and Boys II Men. As for 1992 television some of the major hits were Law & Order, Matlock, Home Improvement, L.A. Law and Married…..With Children. Among the celebrities we lost in 1992 were actress Marlene Dietrich, actor Chuck Connors, UK comedian Benny Hill, orchestra leader Lawrence Welk, actor Dana Andrews and writer Alex Haley.

One of porn’s truly innovative, creative and daring directors, Alex De Renzy brought this story to life. Making adult films since 1969, De Renzy not only has directed a number of porn classics over the years, but also was the discoverer of new talents like Annette Haven, Juliet Anderson and Desireé Cousteau. His films always pushed the envelope and were story and plot driven. In this production that style of De Renzy’s, who is a member of the AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame, is carried on.
To begin with Victoria and Ashlyn play sisters in this very sexual drama. The story centers around Victoria who has a feeling her husband (Randy Spears) is cheating on her. She tells her sister she found some sex magazines about swingers in the trunk of the car. Of course Ashlyn has to play it dumb because she is the one who is playing with Randy as they indulge in the swinger lifestyle.
Before long Victoria discovers an apartment that might be being rented by Randy so he has a place for his sexual escapades. Of course she still has no clue about her sister and brings her along to check out this place. They find all kinds of toys and other things and Ashlyn makes the suggestion, straight faced, that maybe it’s for a client of Randy’s. They find a business card of a sex shop and decide to pay it a visit to see if they can find out anything, but can’t. The sex shop scene is pretty funny though. Once she’s home Victoria decides to call the apartment and really gets pissed when she hears Randy’s voice on the other end and then hangs up.
She decides to go to Ashlyn’s to spend the night, but Ashlyn has plans to go out. After she leaves Victoria decides to go out and check out the apartment on her own. When she gets there she discovers there is one big sex orgy taking place but Randy is not part of it. However, this is where things really begin to heat up and Victoria decides maybe it’s time for her to enjoy herself as well. What takes place from this point on with Randy, Ashlyn, Victoria and the rest makes for a great story line with some unexpected twists. I will leave for you to find out in this solid classic film from twenty five years ago.
Needless to say the cast is superlative, Ashlyn Gere is simply fantastic and makes this a must watch film. The rest of the ladies and cast all match up with some very sizzling and explosive sex scenes taking place in this film. Good writing, acting above par, nice settings and excellent cinematography all blend together to make “Two Women” a couples friendly DVD worth getting and enjoying.
